Re: HSI Collecting Sales Tax in the States of Washington and Florida
As valued customers of Health & Safety Institute (HSI), and its family of brands, American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and MEDIC FIRST AID International, it is important for you to know HSI has now established a business presence in the state of Washington and the state of Florida. We are now required to collect sales tax in these states.
Effective January 1, 2009, all orders placed with us that are shipped to addresses in Washington State and Florida will have the appropriate sales tax added.
Please note, both ASHI and MEDIC FIRST AID will continue to collect sales tax in the state of Illinois.
If your company has tax-exempt status for any reason (e.g. resale, non-profit, direct pay, federal government entity), please provide us with a copy of your certificate of exemption. Re: HSI No Longer Collecting Sales Tax in the States of Colorado, California, or Ohio.
It is also important for you to know that HSI will no longer collect sales tax in the state of Colorado, the state of California, or the state of Ohio.
Effective January 1, 2009 all orders placed with ASHI or MEDIC FIRST AID and shipped to addresses in Colorado, California, or Ohio will not be charged sales tax. This change is based on a location change for HSI’s sales offices.
