A steady rain couldn't dampen the enthusiasm of MEDIC FIRST AID's International Regional Offices representatives who came to Eugene for meetings held on May 9 and May 10. Representatives came from Japan, New Zealand, Greece, United Kingdom, and Canada.
Topics discussed included marketing objectives, global sales strategies, development of websites, and the global competitive landscape. Guideline changes for upcoming training programs were also spotlighted, as was global implementation of Automated External Defibrillators (AED) sales and services.
Since curriculums vary by country, a detailed discussion of this aspect of MEDIC FIRST AID programs was held during the second day of the conference. The international representatives also gave input into what new topics would be desirable for future MEDIC FIRST AID courses.
"This was a great opportunity to get an international perspective on ways to improve our programs and services. I really appreciate the input we got from these representatives and will continue to rely on them for information about what's happening outside of the U.S.," said MEDIC FIRST AID President, Bill Clendenen.
