MEDIC FIRST AID has teamed up with the Salvation Army's National Disaster Network to provide first aid and emergency care training to rescuers from across the country.
Fourteen hand-selected Army members attended a two-day MEDIC FIRST AID Trainer Class on May 9th and May 11th at the 2005 American Disaster Training Conference. These Trainers will return to their home areas around the U.S. and train more Instructors to help provide responder training to other Salvation Army members or clients they serve. "The attendees did an excellent job in class and will be great ambassadors for both the Salvation Army and MEDIC FIRST AID as this program gets rolled out," noted Bill Rowe, Director of Development for MEDIC FIRST AID and primary Instructor for the class.
Attendees received Trainer status in the following courses:
MEDIC FIRST AID Basic
MEDIC FIRST AID CarePlus CPR™
MEDIC FIRST AID AED Supplement
MEDIC FIRST AID Bloodborne Pathogens
The training partnership between the Salvation Army and MEDIC FIRST AID was "the culmination of two years hard work that started on the local level and blossomed into a national partnership. We're looking forward to a fruitful relationship with an incredible national organization," said Colin Taylor, MEDIC FIRST AID National Sales Manager.
