MEDIC FIRST AID Completes Sale of Defibrillators and Training to Madison Schools
Dec 21, 2004

MEDIC FIRST AID, through its MEDIC OneSource Department, has finalized a large order of Philips HeartStart OnSite defibrillators and accessories to the Madison Metropolitan School District of Madison, Wisconsin. Seventy-eight devices were sold to the district. The order also includes a special offer to train school district employees through the MEDIC FIRST AID National Training Network.

HeartStart OnSite defibrillators include technology that analyzes heart rhythm and allows a rescuer to deliver a shock if the patient is in sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The HeartStart OnSite defibrillator can be used to treat infants, children, and adults.

MEDIC FIRST AID has committed to donating a percentage of the sales of each CPR and AED student pack purchased by a Wisconsin CESA school to Project ADAM (Automatic Defibrillators in Adam's Memory), a nationally recognized defibrillator awareness program based in Milwaukee,Wisconsin.

“We are pleased to continue to support Wisconsin schools in their effort to increase survival from cardiac arrest. Madison Metropolitan School District was able to take advantage of an earlier offer made to all Wisconsin Cooperative Education Service Agencies (CESA),” said Corey Abraham, MEDIC OneSource Manager.

Chris Graceffa from Philips Medical Systems was instrumental in getting the district to utilize MEDIC OneSource. Chris conducted on-site meetings and answered technical questions regarding the devices.

For additional information regarding the purchase of AEDs or training related to the use of defibrillators, contact MEDIC OneSource at 800-326-0171.
